Eat, Meet or Greet
Our clubhouse is a great place to EAT, MEET or GREET. Whether before or after your game, or even just popping in as you’re passing by, we’re here for you and you will always receive a warm welcome.
We provide a wide range of eating experiences from early morning breakfasts to evening meals and takeaway curries.
A quick drink after the game? Meet Spike.
We love ‘Spike’. This is our fabulously informal spike bar area where you may have stopped off for some half-time sustenance on your way round, just by the men’s locker room. Grab a quick drink here as soon as you come off the course. You can wear your golf shoes too along with your golf gear. No changing needed!
Relax and Unwind
In our lounge area, you will find a wonderful range of comfortable chairs and tables. Ideal for sitting down and discussing those shots that just slipped away or putts that slid past the hole.
Here we provide table service for Lite Bite lunches, coffee and cake and other informal dining experiences. A fully stocked bar with beers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks will give you a wide selection of beverage choice.
If you prefer something more formal or wish to sit down with a group of friends then our Dining Room is ready and and available for you. If this is your preference or you have special dietary requirements, just call us and our head Chef Michael will discuss this with you to ensure your dining experience is as good as it can possibly be.
Smart casual clothing is the order of the day in the lounge and dining areas. If you want to wear jeans that’s OK too as long as they are smart . If in doubt, just give Ogbourne Downs Golf Club a call on 01672 841 327 to check.
Mobile Digital Devices
We have free Wi-Fi in the bar so please do use your phone, iPad or tablet to get online, read emails or check-in on Facebook and LIKE the Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. As for your phone – flick it on to silent and then making calls; we simply ask that as a matter of courtesy to other guests and members, please move to a quiet area away from the lounge or dining area and that you don’t use your phone to make calls in the clubhouse lounge and dining area, or on the course unless it’s an emergency .
