Congratulations to Jake on winning the Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship on the Duke’s Course at St Andrews over the August bank holiday weekend. Jake birdied two of the last three holes to win by one shot with rounds of 64, 68, 76 and 64 for a total of 272, beating fellow countryman Sam Bairstow and Scottish International Matthew Clark .

Jake’s name sits on the trophy alongside former winners including Tommy Fleetwood, Paul McGinley, Stephen Gallagher, Andy Sullivan, Richard Ramsay and eight-time European Order of Merit winner Colin Montgomerie.

This result moves Jake up to 95th in the Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings.
