Congratulations to Becky Miles on completing her 50 miles challenge, taking part in Jog on Dementia from 16th April to 16th May. The target set by the Alzheimers Society was to run 26.2 miles but Becky decided to challenge herself to run 50 miles which she duly completed raising £1,814.85, an amazing total. Well done Becky!
Jake Bolton was recently invited to join a web Q&A session with Tommy Fleetwood. The session was aimed at England squad managers, squad and regional coaches along with all England squad players. When it came to Jake’s turn to question the great player, the host gave Jake a great introduction by stating that he had won a trophy that had Fleetwood’s name on it, namely the Scottish Men’s Open Amateur Championship. Congratulations to Jan Goodrick for completing her 10k run around the perimeter of her garden on the 2nd May (all 140 laps!). The aim of her challenge was to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, the club’s chosen charity for this year. Charity support has been very limited so far this year and therefore this challenge was a brilliant, if exhausting, way to boost the charity coffers. The total raised for the challenge was an amazing £1,335, a fantastic achievement. Well
The greens staff have been working through the current lockdown crisis, maintaining the golf course ready for the day when the club is given the go-ahead to re-open.
