A fabulous, challenging downland course set on the Marlborough Downs, a true gem.
Visitors are very welcome at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club and we do not enforce excessive rules and regulations upon guests however there are some things that we ask you to observe in order to uphold the interests of fellow visitors and members.
There is plenty of free parking available. Before you go onto the course, please call in at the Pro Shop to let them know you're here.
We have a fully furnished locker room to change in with showers so please don’t use the car park! It’s fine if you want to just change your shoes but otherwise, that’s what the locker room is for. You’ll need the code to open the locker room door; just ask at the Pro Shop or the bar.
Please wear recognised golf clothing and shoes on the course and when using the practice facilities. When the weather is good, smart shorts are fine and you can wear long or ankle length socks, whatever you prefer. If you are unsure about what clothing to wear, a good guide is that if it is available in our Pro Shop, it’s acceptable on the course.
There is a spike bar just by the men’s locker room so you can grab a quick drink as soon as you come off the course. Smart casual clothing is the order of the day in the bar and lounge area, your golf gear will do just fine but please take off your waterproofs, windcheaters and hats!
After 6:00pm we are a little more formal in the dining room: gentlemen are asked to wear a jacket, collar and tie and long trousers; ladies are asked to dress appropriately too.
Please don’t use your phone in the clubhouse or on the course unless it’s an emergency. If you need to use it, the car park is fine.
