Ogbourne Downs Golf Club was established in 1907 and is set in rolling countryside on the Wiltshire Downs overlooking Ogbourne St. George. The course you see today was originally designed in 1927 by JH Taylor. Continuous improvements and maintenance results in a course of high standards.

We offer a fully equipped practice area with both covered and open driving bays and range balls can be hired from the Professional Shop (no collecting your own balls after an exhausting practice). The Club also has buggies for hire if you would prefer a more relaxing game of golf.

Aside from the course itself we have a full range of Clubhouse facilities. The bar is open daily from 11.00am; summer closing time is 10.00pm and in the winter, 5.30pm. The catering is open form 10.00am in the morning and serves a variety of meals and snacks. Your choice of drinks and snacks can be enjoyed at the bar, in the comfortably seated lounge area or on the patio, overlooking the 1st tee and the greens to the 9th and 18th, or if you prefer you can enjoy your meal in the cool, pleasant comfort of the dining room. We offer all members a Club Card which entitles them to discounts off both their catering and bar purchases.

We also have reciprocal arrangements with Corhampton Golf Club, Tidworth Golf Club, Yeovil Golf Club, West Wilts Golf Club and Weybrook Park Golf Club and are part of the Bristol & District Reciprocal Golf Arrangement Scheme.

Besides golf we offer a variety of social functions which combine great food and entertainment. These include the Annual Dinner Dance, Winter Ball, Summer Ball and our ever popular Charity Am/Am amongst others.

We welcome families at Ogbourne and have golf events throughout the year which incorporates all sections of the Club including, men, ladies, juniors and seniors.

 

Associate Membership

• This membership is charged as a nominal subscription plus 12 pre paid green fee vouchers. Subsequent rounds of golf are payable every time you play at the Club.
• This category of membership will still include all affiliation fees paid to the WCGU and EGU, thus allowing the member to retain their handicap with the Club and enter into medal and stableford competitions, as well as being able to play in Open Competitions at other Clubs.
• Enter into the Annual knock-out competitions and winter league (as long as a green fee is paid every time a round of golf is played).
• An Associate member will be provided with a Club Card and will be permitted full use of the Clubhouse and practice facilities at any time.
• Members of this category will NOT be eligible to vote at any General or Extraordinary meetings of the Club.
